Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 October 2026
This policy explains which personal data ACCOVA ("we") collects through this website (accova.qa), the public demonstration (demo.accova.qa) and the ACCOVA system we provide to companies, why we collect it, and the rights you have under the State of Qatar's Law No. (13) of 2016 on Personal Data Privacy Protection.
1. Who we are
ACCOVA is a cloud accounting system for companies in Qatar and the Gulf, offered by Al Majaz Information Technology Co. in Doha, State of Qatar. For any question about your data, write to info@almajaz.com or call us on +974 4465 9111.
2. What this website collects
- The demo request form: your name, your company's name, your phone number, your email address, the message you write, and the language of the page you sent it from.
- Messages you send us by email or tell us on a call, and what they contain.
- Technical data: like any website, the server that hosts it records each request in its logs - the IP address, the date and time, the page asked for and the type of browser - for security and to find faults.
This website sets no cookies of its own, and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Our hosting provider's security system may set a short-lived cookie when it needs to check that a visitor is not an automated program.
3. The public demonstration (demo.accova.qa)
- To enter the demonstration we ask for your name and mobile number, and your company's name if you wish to give it. We keep them with the date and time of your visit and pass them to our sales team so that we can follow up with you.
- The demonstration company and everything in it is made up, and it is reset every night: whatever you enter is erased. Please do not enter real company data or anyone's personal data in it.
- The demonstration uses a cookie to keep you signed in while you use it, and your browser remembers the language you chose and some screen preferences. These are needed for it to work.
4. Why we use your data
- To answer your request, arrange a demonstration and send you a quotation - because you asked us to.
- To keep this website, the demonstration and our systems secure and working.
- To meet our obligations under the law.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for anyone else's advertising. We send you marketing messages only if you agree to receive them, and you can stop them at any time.
5. Data of companies using ACCOVA
- The data a company records in its own ACCOVA system - its accounts, customers, suppliers, employees, payroll and documents - belongs to that company, and the company decides how it is used. We handle it on the company's behalf, only to provide, support and secure the service, under our agreement with the company.
- Each company's books are kept separate. Access is through named user accounts with the permissions the company sets, connections are encrypted (HTTPS), and backup copies kept away from the server are encrypted.
- We look at a company's data only to give it support, when the company asks us to, or when the law requires it.
- If you are an employee, customer or supplier of a company that uses ACCOVA and want to exercise your rights over your data, please contact that company first; we will help it answer you.
6. Who we share data with
- Service providers that help us run the website and the service: website and email hosting, servers, and backup storage. They may use the data only to provide their service to us.
- Fonts and icons: this website loads its fonts from Google Fonts and its icons from cdnjs (Cloudflare). Your browser connects to them directly, so they receive your IP address.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
7. Where data is kept
Some of our service providers keep data on servers outside the State of Qatar, including servers and backup copies of the ACCOVA system. We choose established providers, and we protect the data with encryption and controls on who can reach it.
8. How long we keep it
- Requests and demonstration visitor details: for as long as we need them to follow up with you and to keep our sales records. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
- Server logs: for a limited period, for security and fault-finding.
- A company's data in ACCOVA: for as long as the company uses the service, and afterwards as agreed with the company. The company can export its data when the service ends.
9. Your rights
Under the State of Qatar's Law No. (13) of 2016 on Personal Data Privacy Protection, you have the right to:
- be told what personal data of yours we hold, and why;
- have a copy of it;
- have it corrected if it is wrong;
- have it deleted when we no longer need it;
- withdraw your consent, and object to our use of your data.
Write to info@almajaz.com and we will answer within 30 days. You may also complain to the competent authority in the State of Qatar.
10. Security
We protect data with encrypted connections, encrypted off-site backups, permissions on every user account, and records of who did what. No system can be made completely secure; if a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the competent authority as the law requires.
11. Children
This website and our service are meant for companies and the people who work in them. They are not meant for children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page.
